However, it should be noted that each of the house plant propagation methods will need a medium for rooting. Vermiculite can serve as a good medium for this purpose of rooting. Its ready availability and light nature make it a good option. But its dryness ought to be checked. Sand which is clean and sterilized can be used for planting.
